Anime "Homeless God": characters and their characteristics

Studio Bones took on the film adaptation of the Noragami manga, in the Russian adaptation known as the anime “Homeless God”. The series is worthy and worth watching, despite the fact that it is not completely consistent with the original. The cartoon comes with the seinen tag, it has a fairly serious theme and concept. This anime hooks you from the very first episodes. The plot may not shine with originality, but high-quality art, dynamism, a few spectacular battles, and an excellent soundtrack do not leave you indifferent. In The Homeless God, the characters are well thought out: each character is endowed with his own character, without the typical templates of modern Japanese anime.

Plot description

In addition to the familiar world, there is another one in which ghosts, spirits and even gods live. Usually every more or less decent god has his own temple and believers who bring gifts and praise him. What if you are God, but have neither a temple nor your own parishioners? Fame and fame, of course, too. Who would want to follow such a dubious homeless creature who can't even take care of himself? So what should we do? Give up the dream of getting into the pantheon of supreme deities or come up with something for your own good? The little unknown god Yato chose the second path and took into account the realities of our time. Advertising is a great force: handing out flyers and graffiti on walls helps to get orders. The fee is purely symbolic - only 5 yen, but the quality is excellent. And it’s easy to contact the person who grants your wishes: just call the specified mobile phone number. Yato is not picky and takes on various tasks from cleaning the room to protecting himself from bullying by his classmates.

One day, a homeless god throws himself under the wheels to save a kitten. It's only a miracle that a car doesn't hit a young man. The name of this miracle is Hieri. A high school girl pushes him away at the very last moment, but she herself becomes a victim of an accident. And the consequences are more serious than ordinary injuries. Hieri is now part ayakashi (spirit) and may end up becoming a ghost entirely. To get rid of her newfound gift, the girl asks, naturally for a fee, for Yato’s help. The homeless god readily agrees, but is in no hurry to fulfill the order: he has enough problems and enemies that Hieri can help him deal with. And the boy’s ghost, chosen out of the kindness of his soul, constantly gets into trouble.

Ratings

Characters – 9.0. There are no template characters, no extra characters. I’m not giving the highest rating, since the stories of some of them were never fully revealed. Although I'm almost sure that this will be fixed in the second season.

Plot – 8.0. The story told fits perfectly into twelve episodes. I watched it with interest, the only thing I didn’t really like was a couple of episodes about Yukine’s moral torment.

Drawing – 9.0. Cool art: excellent character design, high-quality backgrounds, and I especially want to mention the action scenes, in other words, the animation of fights.

Music – 8.5. Great soundtrack and great opening, which I didn’t rewind even once.

Humor – 8.0. I was surprised by the number of good jokes. I can’t say that I laughed all the way through the entire series, but there were definitely a couple of funny moments in them. Special respect for the lack of vulgarity.

Issues raised – 8.0. Even if unobtrusively, many complex issues are touched upon, which not everyone dares to raise.

Yato

The name of the main character of the series is translated as “stopper of the night.” His father's real name is Hiiro, also known as Yaboku.

Handsome blue-eyed young man. He is one of the lower gods of war, but most have assigned him the “glory” of the deity of disasters and misfortunes, however, this does not stop him from trying to become one of the best. Yato is a homeless god. He does not have his own shrine, so he is little known among people and unpopular among his colleagues. Constantly wearing a tracksuit and rather rude behavior does not add confidence to the strange deity. But the young man has grandiose plans for the future: to become the most revered and respected god and acquire his own temple. For the sake of his dream, he is ready to work day and night. It turns out really bad. It’s so bad that Mayu’s own shinki has found another owner, and the collected donations (read: payment for hard work) are placed in an empty sake bottle. But the young man does not lose heart and continues to draw graffiti with his phone number and an offer to help those suffering. Only a select few can see it - those who really need it.

After the departure of the tavern, which had served faithfully for many years, things went very badly for Yato. Without weapons, the young man’s strength became significantly less, like that of an ordinary earthly magician. And who needs such a useless deity? Maybe just one 15-year-old high school girl. And that’s because there is no choice.

Characters from Anime "Homeless God"

Yato. One of the main characters of "Noragami" or "The Homeless God". He is God who is unknown to people. His current shinki and reference is Yukine becoming two silver katanas. He dreams of having his own temple, and also of being the most revered deity, surrounded by many followers. To make his dream come true, he undertakes to fulfill any human request, including searching for missing kittens. In order to get people asking, he leaves his phone number (090-хххх-##3х) in public places. For a completed request, he charges a fee of five yen (5 yen coin, a traditional offering to the gods during prayer in Japanese temples). Yato is described as a "homeless guy in a tracksuit who calls himself God", and he calls himself the "Fast and Cheap God on Call". Race: God, Gender: Male, Age: About 1000 years old, Hair color: Dark purple, Eye color: Blue, Affiliation: God of War, God of Destruction, Status: Alive. Appearance: Yato is very handsome in appearance - he is tall, with dark purple hair and blue eyes. He always wears a tracksuit with a crown badge and a scarf around his neck.

Bishamon. She is considered the most powerful goddess of war, as she possesses many shinki. She treats them very warmly, calling them her "children." The most famous and important shinki is Kazuma. She has a total of 8 shinkas that are currently in use. She is one of the seven gods of happiness. Race: God, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Blonde (anime), Silver (manga), Eye Color: Purple, Affiliation: Goddess of War, Status: Alive. Appearance: Bishamon is very beautiful in appearance. She is tall (171 cm) and has a good figure. Bisha has long blonde hair and violet Gano eyes. She is usually dressed in her armor, which consists of: a short gray skirt and jacket, a black bra, a black cap, a pistol holster, and long boots. All this resembles an army uniform. All her armor is shinki. She also wears a cherry blossom earring in her right ear. This is also a shinki - Kazuma, who is the coordinator for other weapons.

Kofuku. Goddess of Poverty. Her shinki is Daikoku. As a Beangod—a goddess of poverty who is not actively worshiped—she was not “born” with a name; The name "Kofuku" was given to her by Daikoku. She calls herself "Ebisu Kofuku" to make others think she is the goddess of fortune. Race: God, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Pink, Eye Color: Purple, Affiliation: Goddess of Poverty, Status: Alive. Appearance: Kofuku looks like a petite and attractive teenage girl. She wears a white shirt, black stockings, a pink plaid skirt and a tie, giving her a schoolgirl look. She has pink hair and purple eyes. Her height is 168cm.

Ebisu. He is one of the Seven Gods of Fortune. He is the God of fishing and trade. He first appears in the manga attempting to purchase Yukine (once he became a blessed regalia) from Yato for an incredible amount of money. Race: God, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Green, Affiliation: God of Fishing and Trade, Status: Alive. Appearance: He almost always wears a black suit with a white tank top, a gray vest and a blue tie, sometimes along with a black coat and white gloves - which are actually his two shins. He has short, neatly combed black hair and green eyes. His eyes typically appear to have no visible pupils. After his transformation, Ebisu is similar to how he was before. Instead of wearing a full suit like adult Ebisu, little Ebisu wears a vest over a white short-sleeved shirt and black shorts. Work. He is one of the main antagonists of the anime Noragami. Not much is known about him. He is the God of Calamity, just like Yato. Nora is one of his shinki, her name is Furuhime, the name of her Reiki vessel. Race: God of Calamity, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Gray, Eye Color: Yellow, Affiliation: God of Calamity, Status: Dead. Appearance: Rabo is quite tall, with long gray hair and bright yellow eyes, similar to those of a hawk. He wears baggy clothes and carries a sword on his back. His clothing is similar to that of a warrior. He also wears a mask to cover his left eye, where there is an empty socket. The image on the mask is similar to Nora's mask.

Tenjin. God of Knowledge, he is one of the richest gods. Yato often stays overnight in one of his temples. Tenjin is also Mayu's new master. Race: God (formerly human), Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Gray, Eye Color: Brown, Affiliation: God of Knowledge. Appearance: Tenjin looks to be 50-60 years old. He has gray hair and brown eyes. He is usually dressed in black, the traditional robes of a priest. In the OVA episodes, he wears a brown suit and looks quite respectable.

Yukine. One of the three main characters of Noragami. His original spirit form is a ball of light. Yato discovers him as an uncorrupted wandering spirit while running away from the Phantom. Soon, Yato gives him the name "Yukine". In Shinki form, his name is Sekki. When summoned, Yukine transforms into a silver katana with the handle wrapped in tattered white bandages. After it became a sacred vessel, it began to transform into two katanas, of the same shape only of shorter length. Race: Shinki, Human (formerly), Gender: Male, Age: 14, Hair Color: Blonde, Eye Color: Amber, Affiliation: Shinki Yato (Lead), Status: Alive, Deceased (as a human). Appearance: In his human form, he appears to be a teenager with short blond hair and amber eyes. His height is lower than that of Yato and Hiyori - only 155 cm. After his first call, Yukine wore white clothes reminiscent of Japanese shinishozoku. He is later shown wearing a blue hoodie, gray jeans, and a hat with pom-poms. In episode 5 of the anime, he changes his clothes to a white T-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a green knee-length jacket with a fur hood. In his shinki form, Yukine transforms into a silver katana. The handle of the katana is wrapped in tattered bandages. After Bishamon broke it, it began to turn into a set of two katanas. The new blades are shorter than the first weapon, but they have the same design. In the second season of the anime, Yukine wears a variety of clothes.

Nora. Former shinki of Yato, as well as Rabo. She has several owners, one of them being Ebisu, although she has more often worked for Yato and Fujisaki. Race: Shinki, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Dark Purple, Affiliation: Shinki Fujisaki Koto, Shinki Yato (formerly), Shinki Rabo (anime only), Shinki Ebisu, Shinki Takemikazuchi, Status: Alive. Appearance: Nora has short black hair and dark purple eyes. She wears a white kimono with a striped red sash. Wears a scarf on her head, indicating that she is dead as a person. Nora also wears black sandals with white socks and a pair of white cloth gloves. Sometimes wears a white, faceless Ayakashi mask. She is one of the shortest characters (154 cm). Her characteristic feature is names all over her body - a common trait among all Homeless. Personality: Nora was initially shown to be very gentle and kind. She seems to care deeply for Yato, and constantly encourages him to take advantage of her. She later tried to kill Yukine, and she also taunted him because she only wanted Yato to use her. She also tried to kill Hiyori due to her softening up Yato. She shows interest in anything beautiful, such as when she commented on Yukine's eyes. As Nora later said, she likes: the real color of blood, the sound of breaking bones, the sounds that a dying person makes. Perhaps this proves her bloodthirstiness and dislike for Yato.

Daikoku. Is shinki Kofuku. His real name is Kuro. His vessel's name is Koku, and as a sacred vessel, his name is "Kokki", he turns into a Japanese fan. Race: Shinki, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Red, Affiliation: Shinki Kofuku, Status: Alive. Appearance: Daikoku has black hair slicked back and red eyes. He has a little stubble on his chin. He usually wears a pink shirt and pants, sometimes he wears a black apron, and has a serious expression. Like Kokki, he transforms into a black Japanese fan. Personality: Daikoku often has a serious expression on his face. Because of this, one might think that he is a scary person. However, he is actually a loving person, and is deeply loyal and affectionate to his owner Kofuku. He is also known for supposedly loving children. Since Kofuku is the Goddess of Poverty, he does not allow her to go anywhere without his permission. Daikoku is considered a reliable person. Yato tells Hiyori that if anything happens to him, she should contact Kofuku and Daikoku.

Kazuma. Is the sacred shinki Bishamon. The name of his vessel is "Chokie". Kazuma transforms into a cherry blossom in the shape of a stud earring with the ability to navigate, track, direct other shinki, coordinate. It also serves as a precise aim for the goddess. Race: Shinki, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Dark Brown, Eye Color: Dark Green, Affiliation: Shinki Bishamon (Leader), Status: Alive. Appearance: Kazuma has short dark brown hair and dark green eyes. He wears classic glasses with black frames and is wearing a black jacket, black pants, a white shirt, and a purple tie.

Sakura. Yato's former shinki, she called him Yato instead of Yaboku. He continues to call himself Yato to this day. Because of Nora, she became an Ayakashi and Yato had to kill her. Race: Shinki, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Dark Brown, Eye Color: Brown, Affiliation: Shinki Tenjin (formerly), Shinki Yato (formerly), Status: Dead. Appearance: Sakura is a young girl with dark brown hair often tied into a ponytail. She wore the same outfit as Tenjin's other shinki, considering she was his shinki before Yato. What name Tenjin gave her is currently unknown. As Yato's shinki, her name was Sakura, her vessel's name was Ou, her weapon's name was Ouki, and she took the form of a Japanese dagger. Personality: Sakura has a very strong sense of morality. She is the one who showed Yato the difference between good and evil. Sakura enjoys sunsets, loves flowers and little frogs.

Mayu. One of Tenjin's shinki. She previously worked for Yato under the name Tomone. Race: Shinki, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Green, Affiliation: Shinki Yato (formerly), Shinki Tenjin, Status: Alive. Appearance: Mayu has short black hair and green eyes. She usually wears a white kimono. When she worked with Yato, she wore a dark red kimono with light purple vertical stripes and a pink scarf around her shoulders. When she began working for Tenjin, she began wearing a red and white kimono. Like Tenjin's weapon, it turns into a smoking pipe. However, when working as Yato's weapon, she turns into a dagger. Personality: Mayu is honest and has a strong sense of justice. During her time working with Yato, she couldn't stand him not only because he was always messing around, but he also often talked about killing and didn't care about the people who needed his help. Because of this, she complained a lot and always insulted Yato, after which she left him. Despite her attitude towards Yato, she also respects and cares for him. She often gets worried when Yato gets into trouble, even when she is serving Tenjin. At one point, she herself volunteered to help Yato, who was unclean due to Yukine's actions. Mayu is also known to be a brave person, as she takes the risk of being attacked by a phantom Yukine during a purification ritual to save Yato.

Keun. The most famous shinki is Takemikazuchi. He takes the form of a lightning dragon. The name of his vessel is Oki. Race: Shinki, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: White, Eye Color: Brown, Affiliation: Shinki Takemikazuchi, Status: Alive. Appearance: Kiun has dark eyes and light, almost white long hair, braided similarly to the hair of his master, Takemikazuchi. Some of them are combed back and tied with red, judging by the cover of the seventeenth volume, with an elastic band/ribbon/rope to emphasize what is needed. The rest of his hair is down, but two blond strands still hang in front of his ears. One of the distinguishing features are two horizontal scars on the neck and bridge of the nose. Kiun is dressed in traditional Japanese clothing, similar to the attire of Shinto priests. He smiles very rarely, but he has a very beautiful thin smile. Yugiha. Currently the regalia of Bishamon. His vessel's name is Saiki. Race: Shinki, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Brown, Affiliation: Shinki Bishamon, Status: Alive. Appearance: He is of average height, with dark blue hair and brown eyes. In his human form, he wears the suit worn by all leading Bishamon shinki. Personality: Despite the fact that he turns into a huge sword, he is a rather meek and calm person.

Iki Hiyori. One of the main characters of the Noragami series. After being hit by a bus while trying to save Yato, she gained the ability to astral projection, effectively allowing her to "drop her body" and become a semi-phantom. Although she tries to control this ability, she often leaves her body without even realizing it. Race: Human, part Ayakashi, Gender: Female, Age: 16 years old, Hair Color: Brown, Eye Color: Pink (anime), Brown (manga), Affiliation: 1st year high school student, 3rd year whitebird high school student ( previously), Status: Alive. Appearance: Hiyori has long, dark brown hair and brown eyes (pink in the anime). She looks like an ordinary schoolgirl. She often wears her school uniform, which consists of a lavender shirt and knee-length skirt. Sometimes she changes her clothes, wearing a gray coat over her uniform and a pink scarf around her neck. When she transforms into a half-ayakashi, a purple tail that bears a strong resemblance to a cat's tail appears from her lower back. She is 162 cm tall. When she becomes a high school student, she begins wearing a new school uniform, both summer and winter versions, throughout subsequent chapters of the manga.

Fujisaki Koto. He has been studying at Hiyori's school for three years. For Nora and Yato, he is the "Father" of Race: Human, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Light Brown, Eye Color: Brown, Affiliation: Student, Status: Alive. Appearance: Fujisaki is a young man of average height with neat light brown hair. Personality: He is polite in front of "friends" and strangers, but in reality he is a sadist (in this he resembles Rabo). He is able to harm another person just to test his abilities. Due to his hatred of the gods, he treats them like toys, not caring how they feel. However, he cares about Yato and Nora (Mizuchi).

Tomoko. Suzuha's friend, who comes to visit her grandmother for the summer. Race: Human, Gender: Female, Hair Color: Black, Eye Color: Brown. Appearance: Tomoko first appears in early childhood, when she wore orange shorts, a white and pink T-shirt and a white hat with a pink bow. Hair is short and loose. She had a green and white handbag and a fishing net with her. Later, Tomoko grows up and becomes taller. The hair remains short, the same white hat with a pink bow is on the head, but the clothes are different: a white short skirt and a yellow T-shirt, and high white socks on the feet. When Suzuha last sees Tomoko, she has already grown into a beautiful girl about his age. She was then wearing a white skirt, a striped T-shirt and a white hat with a pink bow. There was a bag hanging over his shoulder; bob hair She also wears a long yellow frilly dress or a yellow kimono with flowers at some points, tied with a red obi, and wears her hair in a low bun.

Ami. Known as Ami-chan, she is one of Hiyori's friends from school. Race: Human, Gender: Female, Age: 16 years old, Hair color: Dark brown, Eye color: Brown, Affiliation: High school student, Status: Alive. Appearance: She has short, dark brown, shoulder-length hair. She wears red glasses. Personality: She is rarely shown, but is known to be kind and supportive of Hiyori. She often worries about Hiyori when she falls asleep (due to her soul leaving her body). She seems to be smart and gets good grades. She also enjoys teasing Hiyori, as shown when Hiyori mentions that she was dating a boy, Ami pretended to call Hiyori's mom to report that her daughter was having an illicit relationship with a boy younger than her. She is calmer than Yama. Mutsumi. A character who appears in both anime and manga. The entire first chapter of the manga is dedicated to her, but in the anime she plays a cameo role. Race: Human, Gender: Female, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Brown, Eye Color: Green, Affiliation: Student, Status: Alive. Appearance and Personality: Mutsumi is a high school student. She has long brown hair braided into two ponytails. Her eye color is green. She wears a gray sweater over a white shirt instead of a proper school uniform. In the anime, Mutsumi often misses classes due to illness, and for some reason the teachers always forgive her. Because of this, her classmates hate her and tell her that she is annoying and that she should just kill herself. In the manga, she refers to herself in the third person and does not understand why people are mean to her. When Mutsumi complains to Yato, he says that she is arrogant.

Keiichi. A minor character who appeared in the manga and anime. He is the owner of the Overlord. He prayed to Yato to bring him home safely. Race: Human, Gender: Male, Age: Unknown, Hair Color: Brown, Eye Color: Brown, Status: Alive. Appearance: Since he is still a child, he is quite small. He has short light brown hair and brown eyes. Personality: Not much is known about Keiichi. He is affectionate towards cats, especially his cat. He is very upset when his cat, Lord, goes missing. He is very polite and well mannered and is trusted enough to answer the door himself. Pit. Known as Yama-chan, she is one of Hiyori's friends from school. Race: Human, Gender: Female, Age: 16 years old, Hair color: Light brown, Eye color: Green, Affiliation: High school student, Status: Alive. Appearance: She has short light brown hair and green eyes. Personality: She is a tomboy. She desires to be popular, as shown in episode 10 when she prayed twice to be popular, saying that it was important. Like Ami, she is kind and supportive of Hiyori, but also likes to tease her. She's not very smart. She often worries about Hiyori when she falls asleep (due to her soul leaving her body). She wanted to meet Yato, considering him Hiyori's boyfriend.

Hieri Iki

Life was not particularly pampering for the 15-year-old high school student: constant bullying from classmates, misunderstanding from parents who forbade martial arts just because it was not appropriate for a girl from a decent family. One day, her classmates drove the girl to the point where she locked herself in the toilet stall, crying. It was there that she saw a strange advertisement on the wall, promising help and relief from any problems.

Deciding that there was nothing to lose, the girl dialed the indicated number. Imagine Ika’s amazement when she saw the “benefactor” proudly calling himself a great god. Maybe the girl would have refused his help, but life decreed otherwise, and now this dubious god is her only hope for salvation. Realizing that Yato does not have enough strength, Hieri does not despair, but decides to help him. In addition, agility, strength and speed in her ikeryo state only play into her hands in confronting numerous dangers. The girl is not embarrassed by the need to find a new shinki for Yato and earn money for the temple. What you won't do to remain human.

Music

The music is in no way inferior to the art, moreover, it perfectly complements what is happening on the screen. This is best seen in the opening: I haven’t seen such delicate synchronization of picture and music for a long time. That rare case when I didn’t rewind the opening even once. The background music is also excellent; the Bones studio did not be greedy and created more than an hour of original soundtrack, which is very good for a 12-episode anime. In addition, there are no passing compositions in it. Definitely adding to my collection of favorite soundtracks.

Yukine

The homeless god drew attention to the boy while performing his next task. The young thief does not remember anything about his past, but is sincerely embittered at the world around him. He envies living teenagers who can do things that he cannot. However, Yato was able to see the potential in him and offered to become his shinki - a weapon in the fight against ghosts. Yukine doesn't want to miss the chance, but she doesn't let go of the past easily. The boy continues to lie and steal, which hurts Yato, but he does not refuse him and offers to undergo a purification ritual.

Even though Yukine undergoes the ritual, she continues to be annoyed that she serves an unknown petty god.

In battle, after saying "sekki" it turns into a silver katana.

The homeless god gathers a variety of characters around himself, and these are not always friends. But the presence of opponents only confirms the well-known truth: it means it is worthy of attention.

Panache

She's excellent. The picture is clear, colorful and very, very stylish. Once you watch Noragami, you won’t confuse it with anything else. The backgrounds are beautifully drawn, but I liked the character designs even more. Each character is original and different from the other, and each has a small detail that gives them even more charm: be it a scarf, mask or tail. The close-ups are simply excellent, the angles chosen are excellent. And one cannot fail to note the beautifully drawn battle scenes, the animation in them is wonderful.

Bishamon

The homeless god Yato killed all the shinki of the powerful goddess in the past. For which he deserved her hatred and found a loyal and strong enemy.

Bishamon (sometimes translated as Bishamon) is the goddess of strength, wealth and prosperity, one of the most important in the pantheon. She looks like an 18-year-old girl, but her real age is 3000 years. Very caring when it comes to her food. Strong sense of justice. The goddess is friendly, unable to control her anger only when it comes to Yato. He considers him a real evil that needs to be destroyed.

Taurus: Daikoku

Taurus is strong, fearless and not afraid to defend their positions. He is also hardworking and truly cares about those he loves, just like Daikoku cares about Kofuku.

He's trying to get her away from fighting because he knows she's usually unlucky. Although he plays a supporting role to Shinki, he still acts as the unofficial moral leader of the group, which comes naturally to a Taurus.

Kofuku

In the anime "Homeless God" the characters are very different, just like people in real life. Some are ready to do anything for the sake of revenge, others are able to delve into events and adequately perceive what is happening. The Goddess of Poverty is not afraid to go against public opinion and openly sympathizes with Yato. She is ready to do a lot for him, even shelter Hieri and Yukine. Due to his gift of scaring away luck and destroying everything when fighting, he is considered a dangerous opponent. Even Bishamon is wary of messing with her.

Interesting Facts

There are several interesting stories associated with the plot and production of The Homeless God:

• there is not the slightest hint of a romantic line in the anime, which greatly upsets his fans;
• More than 150 artists are working on the production of the third season, so viewers can be confident in high-quality pictures, detailed drawing of characters and backgrounds;
• Although the central character Yato is a deity by origin, he does not disdain to use the achievements of modernity: a mobile phone, public transport. Such moments in anime are sometimes played out comically;

Nora

Shinki and Yato's sister. The Homeless God and Nora have the same father, but different mothers. From time to time he tries to return his brother to his father's house.

She does not sit in one place for a long time, has many names, which is why her body is covered with a large number of tattoos. Considers Yukine and Hieri to be a burden for Yato, only weakening him.

Cancer: Kazuma

The strongest goddess needs a powerful relic - and now we have Kazuma, whose neat appearance and level-headed personality contrast so much with this crazy universe. Cancer is usually dressed well, but not at all flashy.

He downplays his strength, which is typical of Cancer. Cancer is also willing to do whatever it takes to protect those he is responsible for, just as Kazuma will go to the lengths of disobeying Bishamon for her own good.

Tomone

Yato's former shinki. After leaving for the god of science, Tenzin, she received a new name, Mayu. She looks like a young dark-haired girl with short hair and green eyes. In the homeless god it took the form of a dagger, in the service of Tenzin - a smoking pipe.

He despises Yato, but at the same time considers him a good god and can help.

The anime “Homeless God” is a beautiful fairy tale about good and evil, friendship and betrayal. There is no pronounced love line here, only hints and a casually thrown “I need you.” But the realism and wisdom of some moments captivate you and you believe the characters.

Humor

As I noted earlier, “The Homeless God” strikes a good balance between serious moments and humor. This is achieved mainly thanks to Yato: most of the time he is simple and direct, but sometimes he turns on god mode and begins to rub in the harsh truth of life. And since it is difficult and often unpleasant for ordinary people to listen to such things, it was the right decision to defuse the situation as quickly as possible. “The Homeless God” really has a lot of funny and amusing moments, and, what is especially important, the writers did not overuse vulgarity. To be more precise, it’s almost not there. Personally, I found this fact surprising, because I haven’t seen a shonen anime without vulgar jokes for a long time.

Plus, Noragami is characterized by self-irony. The moment where the heroes fly from the roof of a building for several minutes, while having intimate conversations and wondering why they haven’t fallen yet, is simply gorgeous. An excellent parody of many serious films with stupid mistakes.

Libra: Takemikazuchi

Takemikazuchi is the god of thunder, sometimes also known as the god of swords. At first glance, this may not seem like the typical Libra, who is known for a laid-back person.

But in Takemikazuchi, all that dynamic energy is tempered by a healthy dose of pure laziness. This combination of restless energy inside a serene and lazy god who always needs something to amuse himself because he gets bored easily sounds like a textbook description of Libra.

His distinctive feature is that he is very gambling, so sometimes he spends all his accumulated money on games or on unnecessary things. Also likes to drink. He has a sharply negative attitude towards suicide - so much so that he flatly refuses to help people planning to commit it. There are not the best rumors about him: it is known that he has repeatedly killed people and even sacred weapons. Kofuku called Yato a "cruel god". Despite all his good qualities, Yato is quite caring. So, when Yuki was infected with evil, he refused to let him go. Yukine and Tomone often complained that Yato's palms were sweaty. This is why we love him so much!

  Yato can be killed and even mortally wounded by simple means used on a normal human;

• Teleportation:
