Oricon released a ranking based on how many times a celebrity's name appeared in media headlines. They used information from Yahoo! and LINE NEWS , two of Japan's top news websites. Articles must have been published between January 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021.
Oricon eliminated some articles when counting. Firstly, any news related to criminal cases was not taken into account, and deceased celebrities were not taken into account. Athletes were not included as the volume of sports articles in general is much larger, including real-time reporting of results and so on. If the celebrity is from a project or group that was mentioned in the headline but not mentioned in the article itself, then that doesn't count either. Finally, if a celebrity's name was mentioned because she appeared on a television program, but the article itself was not about her, then that did not count either.
With these conditions, you may not get into the rating at all! Who do you think made the top ten? Find out below!
The number in parentheses after the name indicates the number of items counted. The main reasons for the artist’s popularity in the media are also indicated.
